Founded in 1988, it is one of the most successful watchmaking houses today. They were Frederique Schreiner (1881-1969) and Constant Stas (1880-1967). The current Managing Director of Frederique Constant S.A., Peter Stas, is a descendant of the 4th generation of Mr. Constant Stas, who founded his company for the manufacture of printed dials back in 1904.
Mr. and Mrs. Stas launched their first collection in 1992, and within a few years their company could already rank among the leading watch manufacturers. But they did not rest on their laurels. In 2001, they started the development of their first watch movement.
The Heart Beat Manufacture Star was born, which has a distinctive balance wheel crown on the front of the movement. The company patented this design, which led, among other things, to the creation of a special corporate design 'Heart Beat'.
Another innovation in the following years was the silicon escape wheel and the custom tourbillon. This makes Frederique Constant's watches among the most accurate. In addition, Aletta and her husband managed to win the Alpina Watches title in 2002, a title that dates back to 1883.
The soul of the Frederique Constant brand is classic looks and innovation after innovation. With the Frederique Constant Worldtimer, you can tell the time in any of 24 preset cities with just a flick of the crown.
But the centerpiece is the Frederique Constant Runabout product line, which pays homage to the sport powerboats of the 1920s. This men's luxury watch combines sporty spirit with elegant design, and has become one of the brand's most popular collections.
Moreover, in 2015, Frederique Constant introduced the world to the first Swiss Made Horological Smartwatch. With this move, the brand proved that it could respond to modern technological trends without sacrificing the traditional watchmaking artistry and elegance of its models.

In 2019, they have therefore opened an exciting exhibition, which includes making part of the workshop accessible to visitors, where they can see the master watchmakers at work.
